The Freda Griffiths Trophy is awarded each year to a memeber of the club who keeps it for twelve months.

At our annual exhibition, we have someone, usually a local artist, who opens the exhibition and chooses one of the paintings on display.

This cup was bought from money we raised when Freda left her painting materials to the Club.

Freda was a very enthusiastic member of the Club and came to most meetings as well as coming out with us on painting days. She had a very active life and died in her nineties. When she trained in the 1940s she met Lowry, so she moved in very elite company.

Freda also attended the Life Group. If we couldn't fetch her by car she would get a taxi. A very remarkable lady!
